BHB Reptiles and F/T Food
Is BHB Reptiles a good choice for buying ball pythons online? I know they are reputable, but I just wanted to know of your experiences.
I have been looking around and I think they are one of the best choices but I am not sure.
As for F/T food, where do you guys buy your food for your snakes?
I was thinking about Layne Labs.
Thanks a bunch.

I'm not 100% sure on Layne labs, I haven't heard anything bad. If you want to know more about BHB and how they operate check out Brian's (owner of BHB) YouTube channel Snakebites.

BHB is awesome. I get my feeders from Mack's and I've never had a problem, never heard of Layne so I can't say one way or the other.
BHB has a reputation of churning out healthy, handle-able snakes that are good feeders on f/t, for very reasonable prices. You can even email them and ask for something super specific and if they don't have it, they will tell you when they do. I emailed them once (ages ago) asking for an extra tame adult female with a really specific pattern and they kept in touch with me literally for weeks afterward until they found me a snake... And it wasn't even an expensive snake, they just care about their customers. They are excellent.

I have heard good things about their rats. However, their shipping can be cost prohibitive unless you live in California or maybe the contiguous states.
Two popular sellers with good rats and flat rate shipping are Big Cheese and Perfect Prey. Both of them vacuum seal the product as well.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Re: BHB Reptiles and F/T Food
I've never bought animals from BHB but I have heard mostly good things about them. As far as frozen feeders I agree totally with Reinz. Layne Labs has very high quality feeders, and great packaging , but their shipping costs are a bit much. I use mostly Perfect Prey these days. Their feeder quality and packaging are top notch too and the shipping is a lot less expensive. Big Cheese is really good too but they're often out of the feeder sizes I need. Here's a pic of my last order from Perfect Prey. I highly recommend them.

BHB has had it's reputation suffer in the last few years, due in part I think to Brian over extending his reach and catering more toward entertainment than the animals on his youtube channel, but Brian is still one of the big name breeders who know what he's doing and has a great deal of experience. Additionally, I've found animals of equal or better quality for cheaper. Not that Brian is over pricing his animals, but he runs a large facility with several employees, and has had a long time to build up a reputation. You're paying both for the guarantee of the name and the overhead if you buy from BHB. Not a bad thing, but up to you if you want to go that route or would rather hunt around for a smaller, more local business that might have a better deal.
As for rats, only place I've trusted ordering from quality wise that's also affordable is Big Cheese but as has been pointed out, they're often sold out of anything above a pup in size.
