Width of heat tape for baby rack?

Once I get some eggs in the incubator I'm going to build a baby rack, it'll be identical to my adult rack except turned sideways. I'm going to use those sterilite shoeboxes for the tubs. For underbelly heating, which width tape would be better between the 3" and 4"? I'm leaning towards 4" but id like some more opinions before I invest in 30' of it.

    Thanks,
    Kyle
