    Help with transition

My male BP is in a small storage bin (I think ~10q?). He's lived in this one since hatching but he is now just over 200g.

His current hides are also getting too small. They are flat, cave type hides. He's still able to fit in them, but ends up lifting the entire thing sometimes when he moves.

I have a 30q tub and larger hides I want to transition him to. The larger hides don't fit in the small tub. I tried putting him in the new tub with the new hides but for 2 days, he just wandered along the sides of the tub and never use the hides. I then noticed he was starting to shed and I didn't want him to be stressed during it so I put him back into the old tub and he immediately went into his very squished small hide and was "happy" again.

Is there a better way to make the move? Or is he still okay just staying in his old tub for now?

You could put the small hides into the big tub along with the big ones. You could even put the entire small tub into the big one with the lid off if it will fit, and let him explore the big tub on his own. Then after awhile take the small one away completely.
