    Feeding question.

So I got my rescue noodle about a month ago now. When I first got him he was held in a too small tub with the heat not reaching above 71 on the hot side. Since then he has moved to a 40 gal, been treated for mites, and kept at proper temps. However I have not been able to get him to feed. He is a sub adult, 887 grams when he arrived, and he is about 3 feet (haven't measured). He hasn't lost weight. Maybe he is fasting for winter? Or still getting used to the big change? I don't handle him often still, and have offered live, fresh killed, and f/t to him. I offer once a week but no go. He takes no interest in the thawed, seems scared of the live, and sniffed the fresh killed but did nothing else. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks or how long he could go without eating before I should be worried. He doesn't seem stressed. He drinks, hides in his hideys, and roams a bit at night. Has been perfect the two times I have handled him and didn't appear even cautious.

    Re: Feeding question.

He could very well be fasting. Both of my bigger boys have stopped eating and have maintained their weight for over a month. Keep an eye on his weight, and offer food every 3 or 4 weeks if you want to. He'll come around. I don't expect my boys to start eating again until late February or March.
