Calico?
We came across a male calico recently that we would like a general opinion on. What would you rate this guy on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being "nahhh," and 10 being "BUY HIM NOW!" We have not come across many calicos, and would like an outside opinion on what makes one really stand out.

Re: Calico?
Also I'd say about 4 maybe 5 but I can't see all sides of him and if you haven't seen many and he is a good price snag him up as even though he doesn't show much of the whites his babies can be very great expressions of the morph

2-3 for me. I've seen normals with as much white. Are you sure it's just calico and there's not antoher morph obscuring it?

It's definitely a Calico - the pattern itself is pretty unmistakable (especially towards the tail) and you can see the flecks coming up the sides. How old is it? My guess is pretty young since there are still pink flecks which will turn white as he matures. If it is younger, it may not end up to be as low white as it appears right now.
Either way, I'd pass. More so because of the pattern rather than the amount of white. A good Calico/Sugar, in my opinion, has a nice and clean back stripe, with a good amount of blushing, that almost looks like it's been poured down from the top and is melting down the sides. Even though low white Calicos/Sugars can produce high whites and vice versa, the rest of the pattern tends to hold true.
Ultimately, for this snake and others going forward, if you're on the fence and need to ask others what they think, you probably already have your answer.
