Bleeding f/t?

Usually yzma's f/t rats have a slight bloody nose when we thaw and warm them, but the second I put the baggie in warm water, the nose REALLY started to bleed.

I've heard that this could mean the rat thawed in transit and refroze? Is it safe to feed?

Blood coming out the nose is common. Most are killed by CO2 gas which does create some trauma to the lungs since they could not function without air. Thus, there is some pooling of blood in the lungs at the time of death.

No need to worry about that ( bleeding noses) bc these pythons have a very strong gastrointestinal system with powerful digestive enzymes that are made to destroy even decomposing prey. As long as your temps are on point and humidity is where it should be then the animal will handle it. Lol.
