A couple of Shedding + Feeding Questions!

My little Cecily is starting to go into shed! Her eyes are starting to cloud up and I've been trying to keep up the humidity in there so she has a nice one.
To which, brings a couple questions:

    1. Should I still offer her live feed this Thursday? She usually eats once a week and is on live rat pups now, but now that she's started to be in shed,
I've read that it's possible that she could not want to eat. Problem being is just since she's on live right now, so if I do go pick it up this week and she doesn't eat it...
I guess I'll have a friend for the week? Haha

    2. She's had two meals with me (a mouse hopper and a rat pup) and is now going into shed.. So I should be expecting her to do her bathroom business and shed at the same time now?

    3. What's a good way to bump the humidity up temporarily for the shed? Should I buy like a small clump of moss and keep it on the warm side?
I removed some of the coconut husk substrate I had from before because it ended up making both it and the cypress very damp; Especially when I went to pick up Cecily herself she was actually wet from just sitting in the enclosure. I even had put down a paper towel in her normal hide she sits on and it got wet within hours, so I went ahead and changed out most of the substrate and now its more dry to the touch now. I may just put in a little bit of coco husk on the top and keep it a little bit wet. Right now her humidity sits at around 45%-50% since i've changed it and look for it to be a bit higher.

Also I'd just like to thank everyone that's helped me out so far, she's now started to use the warm side more (especially now shes going into shed)
since I got that thermostat, so I guess it was too warm before.

    1) in my experience, it depends on the snake. All but one of mine will eat in shed. My butter absolutely will not...It's just a matter of trial and error and learning your snake. With a small rat pup, you will probably have trouble keeping it alive for a week since it hasn't weaned off the mother yet. The only other options would be letting it go (it will die) or to euthanize it.

    2) All of mine poop simultaneously with shed. I would definitely expect it.

    3) Moss helps. You could even put a small clump in the hide with it. Otherwise, some dampened coco husk would definitely help.
I just fill the water bowls up all the way for mine when they're in shed and it provides plenty of humidity, but I use tubs.

Good luck and keep us posted.
