Hi All

Thanks to those who replied to my new baby and her feeding on the other link. The present plastic container Emily's in, I have been having real problems with the temperature - it isn't stable and will sometimes drop to as low as just under 75 - and when I fiddle with the heat mat it can then push the hot side up to over 100. I keep a lizard in a viv with a ceramic heater etc and haven't had any problems with temps - and think that may be the way I should go to stabilize this problem.

Therefore I'm thinking about the merits of upgrading (substantially) to the 3ft size vivarium and setting up a wooden partition inside it gradually moving it along as she grows (as is done with baby lizards). One of our reptile centres said that so long as she was feeding regularly there was no reason why she shouldn't go straight away into the big one. So I'm wondering what you guys all think as you've had loads more experience with snakes than me - would she panic at all the sudden space around her or would she be OK? She's a very calm snake and doesn't tend to panic about anything. If I did get the big one we'd put in more hides too, and add branches and foliage as I've seen in many of your pics on the other forum.

Thanks for any input!
