    Question Ri treatment

If you come across a respiratoey infection in one of your snakes, and you take it to the vet, do you have them test for the specific treatment or do you just get the general antibiotics and why?

You need to find a vet that will do a culture. There are different reasons for RI, and antibiotics are only for bacterial infections, but nothing else. I would leave the vet if they want to immediately prescribe antibiotics without a culture..

A culture should be done to assess which anti-virus will work best depending on the type of RI.

The anti-biotic should be injectable and for a treatment duration of no less than 30 days.
