Would breeding season cause a female to shed quicker?

    Hi everyone,

I have a female that's 1700g and is feeding well, she started to go into blue last Monday, by Thursday she cleared up and she shed on Saturday morning,

This is the quickest I've seen her shed before or any of mine for that matter, would it be possible that breeding season would make her shed faster?

    Thanks!

Do you mean the time between sheds or time between being blue and physically shedding? The first would only be effected if she's been paired up and actually has been building follicles and could be a building preovulation or prelay shed if you missed ovulation. There is no breeding season so time of year doesn't effect it. If you're meaning time between blue eyes and fresh skin then that just varies. I've had some sit in the same spot for a week after their eyes clear before they decide to get moving and out of their old skin.
