how long does it take for respiratory infections to show symptoms

so my boyfriend and I got a pair of bps 3 days ago from a friend who has been in the middle of moving and she had the pair housed together they are verry stressed due to the fact that they have had to be moved multiple times in the past few weeks today the male started showing symptoms of some sort of respiratory infection we immediately separated the 2 and intend to take him to the vet tomorrow but i am concerned about the female developing symptoms approximately how long does it take for symptoms to develop?

I am new to taking care of bp's i got my first one earlier this year because my friend was no longer able to have it i have never delt with a respiratory infection before so i was wondering what would good questions to ask the vet be because i haven't taken a bp to the vet before and i want to make sure to ask the right things to make sure the snake is getting proper veterinary care

I cannot give you advice on dealing with respiratory infections as I don't really have any experience with it. I did acquire a snake that had one, but it was already in place. I took him to the vet and I was given some oral medication(Baytril) to give to him. I would go to the vet with your snake and let the vet examine him, but first call to make sure they deal with snakes as not all vets do. Then when you get there you can ask him for enough for 2 snakes, or ask him if it's okay to give to the other snake who may be sick but not showing any signs. Just be sure to ask him to make sure it won't do any harm.

Also please Quaratine your new snakes from your current.

It can take weeks to months for an RI to show up.

I would take both snakes in since they were cohabitated, the other is likely sick but not showing symptoms yet.
