    Heating for a wood cage?

Ok, Been browsing the net and getting finding many answers that seem like run around answers. We now have 1 ball python, Red Tailed boa, and just got my wife her fancy Bearded Dragon. We got the baby Bearded dragon a 50-gallon glass cage. The wife wants me to build a stand for it. So That brought my thoughts back to the idea of building a cage for one of the snakes. And just placing her Bearded Dragons 50-gallon cage on top of a 5'x2'x2' cage. But I keep getting distracted with heating. And my old mentality with Flexwatt and Heat lamps. But this time Id like everything to be inside....

What are the best options for heating a wood (plywood) cage for tropical snakes? I can lower the height of the builds if I can get away with stacking 2 cages for the Boa and Python.

I hear FLexwatt needs ventilation, Cant get wet. I hear some woods can warp or leach harmful fumes into the snakes cage. I hear Radiant heat panels are the safest. But I also remember hearing that belly heat is good for digestion of food.

I can Get started on the build but HEATING is bending my brain. Then I thought about them Heat Lamp cages. That seem to only be sold in the UK area. Not the United states.

What works for Tropical snakes for heating? I can lower the height if the RHP would work better at 20 or 18" tall cage.

    Thanks for any heating advice.

    Radient Heat for sure.
Call Reptile Basics, they can talk you through what panel would be best for height.

Do them panels get the surface area warm at all. Or is it just the ambient temperature?
