Built a new rack and moved from tanks to tubs last week since adding 3 new babies to my collection making 5 all together now.
I also have now made a small quarantine setup for future additions.
Next to be added will be something Het Albino to be paired with my other Het albino.
Temps are great. Humidity is holding well at around 60% except the one tub I am trying reptichip in. That one keeps reading over 80% but the coco feels dry. Going to add another humidity sensor tonight to see how they compare.
Feeding time last night.
2 of the 3 new babies ate just fine. One didn't seem interested at all. A defensive strike and went the other way. I am assuming a little stress from the FedEx ride to my house and the new environment.
One was in shed so I kind of figured he may not be interested. He took the rat. Then uncoiled and just left it there outside his hide. He shed last night so I will try again soon.
My oldest girl, the one on the new reptichip, did the same thing. Took the rat then dropped it and went back in her hide. Never done that before.
I am attributing the 2 not eating to a little stress from the move and probably the change in substrate.
Does this sound about right?
I will say I am liking the new tub setup. Keeping temps and humidity maintained in the tanks was a daily job. I still check on things everyday but I am not constantly spraying substrate and messing with temps.
My wife is not a fan but does understand that it is better for the snakes.
