As some of you may have seen in a previous post, I own a couple pets rats from an unsuccessful live feeding. I now keep these rats in a cage in my bedroom which is also where my BP's enclosure is located. I've noticed since I've been keeping the rats in my room, it's easier to tell when Pixel (my BP) is hungry because she'll be wandering her enclosure instead of hiding. Specifically she'll usually be stretching towards the top of her cage and sniffing around in the direction towards the rat cage. I've never seen her exploring while her day light is on except for recently when she's smelling the rats. I've found that this is helpful since I know exactly when my BP is hungry and wants to be fed instead of playing the guessing game, but I was wondering if this might have any down sides such as my BP becoming too accustom the scent? Any thoughts or experience on this? Could it possibly lead to future issues with her not wanting to eat rats? Thanks in advanced!
