What the heck was that?? (hiss??)
So I had my little Wheatley out and about. He's around my neck and was still for a moment, then he starts crawling up my neck to get in my hair. He loves how soft and warm it is, I'd imagine. I have thick hair, so it's like a snake heaven there... LOL... Suddenly he's near my ear and I hear a noise like he's blowing air through his nose. It's not loud at all. It was literally just two short, small bursts of air. Tiny hissing? Or perhaps he was sneezing?
I'm not sure what it was. It didn't sound wet and he hasn't done it again???
It was cute as heck though....

Perhaps, but I've never heard him breathing before that. Usually he is noiseless. Possible respitory issue??

On occassion they have audible breathing, if they're surprised by something or a shed stuck in their nostril that makes the sound louder... Especially if he was right next to your ear to begin with.

No. Definite snake issue. They hiss - it's kinda their thing.

Hmm. Possibly. He seemed to react every time he was trying to tangle himself in my hair but failed. It almost could sound as if he was frustrated XD
But more than likely, he got near my ear and startled himself, if that's the case.

Karma isn't ever really near my face because it makes me uncomfortable but whenever she sneaks close enough, I can hear her breathing. Cute little snoot noises^^ Its really easy to hear her breathing when she gets startled too, its normal.

My girl sneezed once, it was while she was being stubborn about coming out from hiding after escaping. She must have been slithering through some dust bunnies.
It was this great big sssssneezeROAR that I swear shook the entire house.
The dog and I both went tearing down the hallway only to see her tail slip back under the hot water heater...

I let Wheatley in my face only because he hasn't bit me since I startled him on day one. Since then, I've handled him daily (except for when he is digesting a meal) and he's gotten used to my smell.
I don't know if I'd let any other snake get close to my face, to be honest.

Yzma jammed her head on my face last week and I could feel little cold puffs of air from her nostrils.
Then two days ago, she booped her snoot into my cheek and left it there. I like to think it was a snake kiss lol.
