My new Jungle Woma Spider ball python!

I just picked up this beauty from the FedEx ship center today, she arrived safe and sound! She is a four year old female Jungle Woma Spider ball python. Not many people are working with the Jungle Woma gene, it's really an enhancing gene that seems to bring out the yellow color, similar to pastel, and reduces the pattern, similar to Enchi. In this snake it seemed to reduce the spider pattern and bring out the golden color. It's co-dominant and there's a super form, the super looks similar to a leopard pastel with high yellow and a mixed up pattern. Should be an interesting project. It's actually my 20th snake, well only 19 if you don't count the king snake that's been lost in the house for a few months LOL.

Here's a few photos, one of my rack (I have only one rack at the moment!), the ARS-8018 tub I have her in with fresh Reptichip, and a photo from the guy I bought her from being paired with a smaller male, which I think may be a Butter Jungle Woma? She is supposed to be very sweet and was a former pet of a few kids, so she is tamed down really good. I have a few plans for her, I may try to mix that gene in with a bunch of stuff never produced before. Would be interesting to see what it does with the pied gene, if it makes more or less white on the snake as a pied. I'll probably shoot for a super form first and breed that into stuff so I know for sure I have the JW gene in there. Enjoy the photos!

I currently have 18 snakes and have room for 2 more in my rack! These include California King snakes, ball pythons, a 1400 gram male Woma Python, a juvenile 50% Jampea Dwarf Albino Reticulated Python and one lost in the house that we can't find OOOOOooooooo.

is she a proven breeder from that lock or other pairings from her previous owner? also do all your new snakes go immediately into the rack? i QT all new arrivals no matter the breeder's rep, size or the condition the snake arrives in.

Good question about the previous breeding history, I just shot the seller an e-mail. I'm pretty sure she was proven out at least one season, they said they didn't try last year and she is currently ready to breed. Also, on the QT, about six months ago I had zero snakes so I guess you can say my current rack has all my new additions in one big QT! My next rack will be a baby rack, I'll probably also get at least several levels of an ARS-7010 rack to put in a completely different room as a QT rack, would probably hold 3-4 snakes at a time max so I don't risk the whole collection. I'm planning on getting one more snake, probably at NARBC. Then my whole rack will be full and I won't buy another snake without a QT setup. Once the collection is established I'll have too much money in it to even try to avoid a QT. Right now I have to breed and sell some babies to pay for all the rats I'm going through LOL. I'd say right now with about 20 snakes I'm just 'dabbling' in ball python breeding, just wait until I really get ramped up!!!

I just heard back from the seller and he said that he did prove her out with another non JW male and produced JW babies! Her son was actually used to produce the super with another JW female.

It's an ARS rack. The top is several rows of ARS-7030 and the bottom rows are ARS-8018. I bought it brand new and had it delivered by truck, I found out that the two different kinds of racks are stackable on top of each other. There are other options you can get to make a customized rack, check out the photo below. I'm actually thinking of adding one more row, an ARS-9006 for my dwarf reticulated python once she outgrows the ARS-8018 tub. These are the racks that all the high end breeders use like Brian Barczyk and Markus Jayne. The price seems pretty steep until you actually get the rack, it all slides together real easy, it's powder coated and the fit and finish is top notch. And my rack probably weighs about 600 pounds, you could climb up it like a ladder LOL. It will last a lifetime. I'll probably get the ARS-1039 hatchling rack next. I don't get all the levels of a full rack because I don't want to have to use a ladder to check on my snakes LOL. You can order the wheel base and each level separate and get as many or as few as you want. It's a neat system.
