    question!

    hi all!
so my bp Jay is .. As chill as a BP can be 0.o

almost insanely calm. He never has snapped or even hissed at me, even when I had to lift him during shed once ! (Cleaning)
he often lifts out his head to investigate when I come home from school and sits near the glass until I take him out..
Also another question I have is- he has just shed, fully - no retained shed. however he's still a funny kind of muted colour.. What would cause this?
I just wanted to know if this was normal? or if it's indicative of a problem or something ... Thanks in advance!

Ball pythons are known to be very docile. It's fairly normal for bps not to hiss, though sometimes they might be startled for a moment or two. If he's near the glass everyday, though, just be sure to double check husbandry, that he's not glass surfing, etc. since that can be a sign of off-temperatures, stress, etc.

As for his color, it depends on his morph. Can you post a picture? Some morphs like ghost morphs typically have more "muted" colors, sometimes where their blacks look more brown or purple like this one.

    He slayed the dragon.
    The princess cried for days.
    She loved that dragon.

My pied is pretty chill. He sounds a lot like your python. On the other hand I have a cinnamon and she's really feisty. Temperament depends on the snake. Most of mine are docile, but I have a few that hiss and strike. Leon, my leopard, got me a few times. (He's a hatchling and they can be pretty bitey.) But he seems to have mellowed out now that he's bigger and better adjusted to his enclosure. The cinnamon, not so much. She's gotten better at being handled, but she still hates movement, people looming over her, and being taken out of her cage. She scares easily. And when scared, she strikes. It'll be awhile before I'll be able to take her out in front of the kids.

No idea about the muted colors, but sometimes my pied's belly is still a little pink right after a shed. It usually goes away in a few days.
