    More an FYI

I know I have seen some posts about f/t rats being bloody.
I have never had any of the rats that I have CO2ed ever bleed.
Today I did a 100 and instead of using zip-lock bags like I normally do, I decided to use the vacuum saver.
Almost everyone of them is bleeding from the nose a little.

    Re: More an FYI

This makes sense as the vacuum seal will draw all air out including air inside the rat and also compress it a bit squeezing out air and fluid.

Thank you for the info Pit and for the very plausible explanation JHPythons.

This is what I call an efficient thread:
1st post - Problem, Experiment and Results
2nd post - Analysis of said results and Probable explanation

We do f/t and quite a few of them have bloody noses when we warm them up. They are on like a meat styrofoam piece, (like how chicken or beef comes,) and then in a zip lock where we buy them. We just keep them in zip locks at our house.
