handling 2 yr old IJ
I have a two year old IJ Jag who hasn't been handled much since I got her when she was a few months old. She's about 4 ft. long and weights 530 grams. Had some family issues at the time, ie. divorce, and I regret not handling her much except only to feed her and clean her tub. What’s the best way to start handling her again? I want to makeup for some time so for the last two weeks or so, whenever I tried to pick her up, she always wants to run away and explore the room. She’s always been a verocious feeder but she gets scared whenever I get close to her.

All it takes is time and patience Neo. Start with short handling sessions and increase the duration as she settles down. My carpets are all pretty active when they're being held but as long as they're not musking or biting that's a good sign.

Agree with Ziggy. My carpets want to EXPLORE ALL THE THINGS when they're out. I built a "snake tree" for mine indoors, and this thread has me thinking about modifying a post on the back porch to make another for nice days outside.
