Re: Snake got out
My baby boy has gotten out before, all because of my carelessness on locking his tank. I didn't think he was able to slide the top off but he did, so when I came home one lovely night I looked in his tank and didn't see him in his hide or on his branch.. I thought no! He couldn't of! And I swear my chunky little boy slipped out a gap half an inch and ended up in the second drawer of my dresser beside the tank.
So I heard that snakes in general, when they escape, tend not to go very far from their enclosure so I looked around there.
But yeah, that's a banana.

Re: Snake got out
Only snake I have had escape was my corn, it was mostly her trick of making relaxing the shoulders and hiding down the back of the settee.

My snake is really active so I'm kind of worried. He never balls up

I've never had an escape, but what I've heard from others is to look in warm places – by radiators or heating ducts (although I assume your heat is not running right now) or even appliances that have a pilot light like a gas stove or water heater. obviously any place that is dark and secure feeling. Tricks I've heard for getting them back if you can't find them would be to put a fresh killed, or nice hot frozen thawed rat in a temporary hide, a shoebox or something – also spread flour or corn starch on the floor and look for tracks in the morning. Good luck.
