    Stuck shed on head/heatpits

    Hello everyone,
So a few weeks ago my little one finished her shed. It mostly came off it one piece except for her head/heatpits, I've tried soaking her to get it off but she is very headshy so it's not an easy task. Anyways what's really bothers me is that now she isn't eating on top of open mouth breath/clicking noises when breathing. She doesn't seem to be tilting her head back, I haven't seen any mucus when I opened up her mouth also she's still flunking her tongue a lot. I'm not sure what to think, here's a picture of her. I'm debating weather to go to the vet. https://imgur.com/WcWr18B

no mucus or bubbles is a good sign. stuck shed on the nostrils/pits can create raspy sounds as the BP breathes like how rustling leaves make sounds in the wind. how big is she and how many meals has she refused? she could just be off feed b/c BP's are fickle like that. if she had stuck shed, i would guess your husbandry was not optimal. double check your temps and humidity. get it right, make her comfy and she might eat again.

also her stuck shed will come off with her next shed with higher humidity or you could put her in a tub like this: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...ithout-Soaking maybe that would help.
    RIP Mamba

    Re: Stuck shed on head/heatpits

Thank you for the response, and to your questions. She is about 6 1/2" long and 184 grams, down from 209 grams from about a month ago. She has refused the past 4 feedings. I did go to check all my husbandry. Ambient Temp 78.4, humidity 58-65 but typically mist once a day when they go into shed(will probably do more now) cool side is 75.6 and the hot side is 91.3(bottom of the tubs). I might try and bump down the heat a bit. My rack system only uses one long heat tape through out the rack where I also keep my pinstripe and he likes it a bit toasty but I'm sure he won't mind bumping it down a little.

also forgot to mention, awesome video I think this will help.
