    Hides & Feeding

I have a young BP (~1 year) I had just bought her from another person. They sold me the whole enclosure as well. Her favorite hide is very difficult to open to get her out so I can feed her (She is fed in a different tank). She happily swallows the mouse once I get her into the feeding tank. But is there a way to get her to come out without dismantling the hide?

    Thanks in advance!

Why are you feeding mice @ about 1 year still? And why feed in a different tank?

They are the jumbo mice, after this bag of mice is gone I'm moving her over to rats. She was also raised on feeding in a different tank.

There is no need to move even if that's how she was raised . It adds un-needed stress .

Here are some easy hides to lift and access the snake: http://www.reptilebasics.com/hide-boxes

No need to move outside the tank to feed either. It's a lot easier on both you and the snake to feed in the enclosure.

My adopted BP was in a hide that he would wedge himself in and you had to work him out of. Right in the trash. Reptile basics boxes, one cold side one warm. Start feeding in the main tank if you can.... Makes life easier. Once I got mine off live and onto FT, it's worlds easier and worlds cheaper.
