OK, a true one.
After my first bearded dragon passed away from a grossly deformed liver (necropsy done), I cleaned the cage and adopted another one from a beardie rescuer. When I put the new beardie in the cage, the dog stuck his nose against the side of the cage and followed something I could not see from the cage across the dining room and around the kitchen, then whatever he was watching went upward across the living room. There were no insects in the house, and whenever he saw insects the dog's behavior was completely different from this. Insects were either ignored or snapped at, this was something that seemed to be fascinating him. Did the spirit of my first beardie leave when the second one took over the cage?
Edited to add: What he was following started out at the level of the cage, then went down along the dining room and around perimeter of the kitchen floor before ascending upward.
I had to have the dog put to sleep last August. I'd like to think he lives on, too.

Re: Ghost Stories!
A bearded dragon ghost? That's a new one thanks for sharing. My little ghost story goes back to when i was 9. I feel asleep on the couch one friday night. We use to have a night light in are room back then (the night light comes in to play later). I got up in the middle of the night to go to my room to go to bed and i stopped dead in my tracks cause there was what looked like a 4 footish black figure just standing there looking at me or my brother. We had bunk beds and he was on the bottom bunk sleeping. To this day i consider it a real ghost story but i do understand i just got up from sleeping so maybe my mind was playing tricks on me. In the mourning i checked out the room for possible culprits. There was a chair placed near where i saw the figure but i'm just not sure. What was weird about the figure was dispite the night light the figure was completely black no shades of black or anything like that no facial features. Try to imagine a short person with a black sheet over their heads and it looked like it didn't really have shoulders. Not 100% on this but i do know after looking at it for like 5 secs it scared me enough to go sleep with my mom for the night lol i didn't go in there heck no. Thankfully i haven't seen it ever again there's a bit more to the story but this post is long enough lol.

Re: Ghost Stories!
I was showing a property, a church, to a potential church buyer and they had a party of about 30 people viewing the site. One of the Deacons and I were standing across the hall from each other talking. He was standing next to the door of a room and I was about 6 feet away on the other side of the hall. I small child darted between us and into the room the deacon was standing next to. The deacon leaned in to tell the kid to quit running and then looked at me rather oddly. He asked, "Did you see that?" I said, "the little boy running?" He said, "Yeah, where'd he go?" I leaned into the room and there was no one in there. The room was about 12 X 15 with a conference table in the middle but no chairs around it. You could see there was nothing beneath the table. All of the chairs were against the wall and one was holding the door open so he couldn't have hid behind the door. There was no other entrance/exit but the one the deacon had been standing next too. We both just looked at each other and then the hairs stood up on the back of my neck at the realization that I had seen something I couldn't possibly explain. Both of us agreed we thought we saw a small boy in dark clothing. That's about as much distinction as we could make because the entire sequence took about 2 to 3 seconds.
Did we see a ghost? That's up to you and what your definition of a ghost is. We saw something I nor he could explain or deny. In subsequent showings when I would go in prior to the appointment to turn on lights, I would call out and ask the child to come out and play. I wasn't trying to mock or provoke but more was interested in confirming that I did see what I believed I had seen, and was hoping to have a second experience. Nothing ever happened again and I have since sold the property. I also talked with the lady who had spent a lot of time alone in the building as she was the secretary. There were days where she'd be there all day alone doing clerical work and answering the phone. She was intrigued by what I told her but said she never had any experiences like it.

Re: Ghost Stories!
Woah! Amazing, that experience must have given you a long day of thinking. Here's my experience! I don't know If you can call this a "ghost" story, I often get sleep paralysis (It's where you would wake up In the middle of the night, but cannot move AT ALL, only your eyes. You start to hallucinate, anything from beasts, to demons, to simply other people), so when I was a kid my family would always go to our vacation home for the summer, every night there I would always get sleep paralysis, no matter what. However, my hallucinations weren't that bad, I would always see a tall figure In the room, sitting next to me. I didn't feel scared at all, rather safe. I would always tell this to my parents but they wouldn't believe me. I'm assuming that tall figure Is my guardian angel. Who knows!?
