Please help! What is wrong with my BP eye!

So I picked up my first BP about a month ago. The store had him looking skinny and miserable and I could not lass him up. He is so sweet and I adore him as do my kids. Today my son pointed out his eye and I am so worried. It looks almost like there is a scratch through it and he has no reaction to movement on that side. He even let me touch it he is VERY head shy on the side with his 'normal' eye. Is this retained eyecap? Something more? They had him feeding live but he took FT readily for me. Any ideas ? I will take him to the vet if necessary which i feel like it probably is.

Hard to tell from the photo.
What is your humidity at and how large is its water bowl?
Start there because it looks like a stuck cap.

Dehydrated and/or stuck eye cap. Keep his humidity up.

I really hate messing with their eyes and once they rehydrate they usually can get rid of a stuck cap themselves.

Ok but if it is a stuck cap he hasnt been in shed since I got him sp its been there a long time so I feel awful. It almost looks like an old scar. He actually has a moist hide now that he hangs out in a lot because when I got him he felt super dry. I will make sure to wet the moss daily now and his water bowl is just big enough for him to get into but I could put in a bigger rubbermaid tub the issue is I have never seen him near his water.

Since I added thenmoist hide he feels much better but this concerns me and I am hoping its not something more serious. I hold him daily and just dont see how i didnt see it before.

If it's a stuck eyecap, and you have him in the correct humidity, he should lose it when he sheds.

Keep up the humidity and check on the next shed. If it is still there after the next shed then make the appointment.
