Question About Cancelled Driver's Licence

In Ontario, I should specify.

So, my boyfriend has been quite the stupid fellow the last couple years, gotten a bunch of speeding tickets. Currently he's on "probation," so when he gets a ticket he gets an immediate 28 day suspension. That's been going since last August, he did good for awhile, but of course come February he got another ticket and as a result he got the suspension, fastforward 28 days he goes to get his licence back only to find out it's being suspended again in two weeks, this time because that last ticket put him up and over 15 points. He finally got his licence back May 30th.

He recieved a paper saying he had to take a written and eye test again, as well as his G drive test before a certain date otherwise his licence would be cancelled. He has gotten the first two, and has booked a date for his G test, he had to get the temporary licence extended because the test couldn't be booked until after the date he was supposed to have completed everything by. Now, my question is, what happens if he fails the test? Will they still cancel it, or will they suspend it and expect him to pay and take the test again, or will he have to get another extention so he can book again? He is telling me that if he fails, they'll cancel his licence and he'll have to start all over again, as a new driver. G1, G2, G.. all over again.

Are there any Ontarians familiar with this stuff that can help me understand what exactly would happen?
