    First time snake owner

Hello, it's my first time here and my first time having a noodle (I have had lizards till now only) and wanted to ask I bought my noodle home yesterday, he's almost a year old,hes used to handling which is very positive because I had to handle him when I got him (he was nervous in the box he came in but was calm when he could sit on my shoulder) he isn't showing any nervous behavior now that he's in his new box, he already pooped today so i had to clean it,no problem with that which is good, and I was told he was fed around a week ago, should I wait around 5 days from the day I bought him or even more? I know I'm not supposed to handle him at all the first few days but I had to clean out the poop but it didn't stress him out, I'm not going to handle him probably till Tuesday then I'll buy some mice and hopefully I can get him to eat rats in a few months.

It's really a judgement call less. I have a general rule of thumb to wait a week before feeding new critters but I've fed some 24-48 hours after arrival. Most breeders don't feed them if they're preparing to ship them so the snakes are often hungry when we get them. It can't hurt to wait or to offer a snack.

Oh he wasn't shipped. He just traveled maybe around 20 mins with car, so maybe I should offer a mouse?he isn't balling up or anything, he pretty much doesn't care if you pick him up or not I'm not scared of him not eating for a longer period of time I just want him to grow and switch to rats as fast as I can. But I'll have to wait till Monday anyway, pet stores around here are closed during the weekends. Thank you for your reply btw
