curious about humidity inside the hide

the inside tank humidity is 50-60% like ur suppose to. inside her hide on the hot side is into the 70's i have not misted or anything is that ok or should i take the hide out to air out? i know that with the wood hide its trapping heat and moisture

Honestly 70 isn't awful; being that it's inside the hide your snake can exit the hide if it's too humid. My only concerns would be 1.) Mold and bacteria with the bedding. Just keep an eye on it. If it becomes moldy or whatnot you can drop your humidity just slightly or maybe switch to half bedding half paper towel? And 2.) BPs are known to forego comfort for a preferred hide, which means even if your BP is getting too much humidity, s/he won't be inclined to exit the hide if it's his/her favorite, or if there isn't another identical to it in the tank. This is not the case with all snakes, but some are very picky with their hides.

    Hope this helps!
