Transition from Tanks to Tubs then Rack

Currently I have my 2 ball pythons in tanks. One in a 40G and the smaller in a 20G. The expected humidity battle is a pain.
Long term goal is to breed my Enchi and Pewter. And grow the number of snakes I have. My female just turned one so I have time to learn and get things prepared.
With my daughters upcoming wedding, finances are focused on that but I would like to start a transition to tubs then a nice rack system. (Still convincing my wife it is not cruel. She likes seeing them move around the tanks in the evening. Maybe a T8 for one of them.)
After looking at a bunch of different threads I am thinking of moving to something like what I have sketched below. 32Q sterilite tubs. Still using cypress mulch. I have everything I would need but the tubs. $6 each at Target.
If the ambient drops too low I have a 50W or a 150W CHE I can hang above them to add some heat. Maybe put it on a thermostat.
Would the tubs just sitting out be ok or would I need to black them out more to not stress the snakes out?

If theyre just sitting out I would either buy opaque tubs or black them out with black paper around the outsides.

Honestly this depends on the animal. All of mine are in clear tubs. For the few shy ones I have that are smaller I give them a lot of hides. None of my adults seem to care. They can see each other and they can see me. The room I keep them in never gets direct sun, so it is not real bright in there.

I have my guys in something like that right now while I wait for their T8 to arrive.

My room mate keeps the AC quite low so I added RHP's to the top of the tubs. RHP's and flexwatt controlled by separate thermostats (nevermind hotspot temp, temp gun has it around 92). Steve and Sal seem to enjoy it.
