age of my snake

how can u tell the age of a ball python. guy i got her from said they had her a year. i was at the pet store and looking at stuff they asked how big my snake was shes about 3 feet long he said shes about 4-5 yeas old. not sure i believe that is anyone got any info on that?

It's hard to know exact ages with out a birthday. One of the easiest to tell if it's under a few years is weight. Do you know how many grams it is? Other than that it's guesswork.

It's pretty much impossible to guess the age of a snake, so much of their size and growth depends on the conditions they are kept in and the genetics of the animal itself.

That's crazy how much variation there can be. Did one of them go off feeding for a while?

One eats every couple weeks and the other eats everything offered.
