    I wish ...

I wish we could have a big bold link at the top of the BP husbandry page that links directly to the BP Care Sheet page that says, "Yes, you do need a thermostat" or something to that effect.

That's a brilliant idea or even an automatic pop up when you go to click on BP Husbandry...something!

It's really messed up that a lot of pet stores don't tell people they need one and also messed up that the heat mats for reptiles don't have a huge WARNING exceeds temps of ***...bad, bad cycle.

Totally understand your frustration sadly we can't spoon feed every body (we also respond to question all the time) and the answers how often already here as some questions are asked over and over again.

People who want a pet should research it and I don't mean just one source they should take their time and do their homework, that is THEIR duty as new owners whether it's a gecko a BP a Hognose a frog, sadly some do not do that even though the information on this forum is readily available and the important points are usually stickied threads.

And as the saying goes you can lead a horse to the water...............

I used to work in a small pet store that had a significant reptile customer base and I recommended buying those hydrofarm tstats and selling them for a profit but the owner didn't care Unfortunately a lot of people don't know or care about how important they are

Me too, that's a big thing. It would even be nice if they bought Hydrofarms and resold them at ridiculous prices, because at least they'd have something. But just try to find a thermostat for any price at a big-box pet store. And there are some people who won't buy anything for their pet unless it's made for pets.

I'm also surprised that pet stores don't push them. I mean, it's a chance for the retailer to MAKE MORE MONEY.

Even when you draw it out in crayon and show photos of a belly burn.
