Stupid Cable Guy!!!

ok yesterday a technician from cablevison was supposed to come and install our optimum online sevice and optimum voice service(which i only found out about the day before when i came from school!!!) between the hours of 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. He ended up coming at 9:30 pm which my mom was really pissed about and so was i because i had to move the stuff back that i pulled out and then put back because we thought he wasn't coming!!! So we asked what took him so long he said he had to go home for a little while. Needless to say today my mom got in touch with the supervisor and gave them her 2 cents. But this is not why i say the guy is kinda stupid(well maybe i should blame cablevison for lowering their standards so far) this guy finally got up to the optimum online installation around 12:00 am and wasted an hour trying to get online with the modem and i kept on telling i don't use internet explorer i use msn explorer. he ignored me and pretty much spent 45 minutes looking through my whole computer for internet explorer. Finally he asked me probably the most irritating most ignorant question i could have ever heard in a situation like this one..........."do you use another program besides internet explorer to view web pages?" I yelled at him and told him that i've been saying i use msn explorer for the past 45 minutes and he said "oh" and clicked on it from the start menu. Then he finished the optimum online installation in like 15 minutes and left. By the time me and my mom and my sister cleaned up the debris from him drilling in the walls and put back all the stuff we had to move for him to drill it was like 2:00 am which meant i had to get up in 4 1/2 hours to go to school so my mom felt bad for me and my sis and let us stay home. so atleats something ok came out of this lol

What a MORON. First off, what kinda cable company has guys out installing that late at night anyway? Plus if they know they're gonna be drilling you'd think they could give each guy a lil dust devil handheld vacuum to clean up their crap. Something little like that would go a long way in making customers happier.

Bahahaha! Fat chance. Cable companies aren't exactly known for their generous nature. They'll say that they give those times as a "guideline". Trust me, been there, done that! What sucks is that in Canada, there's a total monopoly on cable/phone/electricity, so if you want that particular service, you've got no choice but to bend over for them. SO lame. Sorry dude! At least you've got cable now...
