    Feeding questions.

Hey everyone! So I just had a quick question about feeding. My lesser ball python, who is about 10 months old I would guess, will grab the mouse and then sometimes drop it and then eat it like 2 minutes after he drops it. I'm just wondering if in the future when he constricts it and then drops it and doesn't eat it what should I do with the mouse? My guess would be just throw it away. Right? Any help would be great!

You can warm it back up and try again if it hasn't been in there too long. Sometimes they will take it. Be aware though that I have seen them play with their food for an hour before finally eating it so interrupting the process is not always good. If they are still "sniffing" it. Leave them alone.

Some of mine like to eat in private so I leave it for an hour or two and if its still there I give it to another snake who'll take it. If you only have one though and it ends up not being eaten, I throw them out unfortunately

    Re: Feeding questions.

I have a couple that will do this. I just leave it in there with them overnight and by morning it's usually gone. If not, toss it and try again next week.

    thank you for the help!

Thank you for all the help!! Yeah I usually have been giving him like 5 minutes of solitude if he puts it down and then he eats it.
