Is it healthy to breed my female ball python once in her life?

I'm really confused, I watched a video awhile ago about a female retic not having eggs so she died because of it or something and now it's freaking me out lol. I don't know if that was a legitimate video or anything. I have a 2 year old female and she means the absolute world to me and I'll do whatever it takes for her to live a long and healthy life. So if it mean I'll have to eventually breed her I will do so. But I hope I don't ever have to breed her because it seems like a process I might not have time for! Thanks!!

As far as I know, breeding or no breeding, nothing is going to happen to her

Maybe it was about egg binding? That's not common in BPs. But any female egg-laying animal can become egg-bound whether she mated or not. It's just a thing that happens sometimes.

Hmm, is there any way I could spot this if the off chance it ever occurs? She's my baby and I just want the best for her!

Your snake will live a normal life span without breeding. I've had female pythons live more than 20 years without being bred.
