Ultratherm Heat Pads from Reptile Basics
These are very Interesting. Apparently they stay under 95 degrees. So, do i need a thermostat with these? Also, what's a good size for a 15qt?

Yes you still need a thermostat with the Ultratherm pads. Get one big enough to cover 1/3 of the tub floor.

Re: Ultratherm Heat Pads from Reptile Basics
I use them for when my racks are full but I would recommend using them with a thermostat . Better safe than sorry .
I use 11 x 7 I believe for mine . I have some available if you need .

Get the 11 x 7 it will work even with a bigger tub however you MUST buy a thermostat, they will reach over 100 degrees depending on the ambient temp of your house, I have tested several of them and they do not remain under 95 degrees.
T-stat is a MUST

They do not stay under 95 degrees at all, unfortunately... Lies and lies. LOL. You still need a thermostat.
A few months ago, my past roommate moved my boa's enclosure to another spot in the room while I was at work, without my permission. She doesn't know how the equipment works, so the probe fell out, and the ultratherm heat pad was at about 110 degrees when I got back.
Fortunately, it seems that not a long time has passed since she moved the enclosure, so no burns had happened to the boa yet.
(Don't even ask why the hell she decided to move my pets on her own without telling me... So glad I don't have roommates anymore.)

Thanks for the Info guys! My mom wasn't kidding when she said always find a third opinion!

IIRC, even RB advises a t-stat with these.
The claims for 95F are in the printed literature that comes with the product. I've temp gunned mine at over 100F. You can get away with a cheap Hydro-farm t-stat, but you need one.
They won't get as crazy hot as some other stuff out there, but they still get too hot.
