    Coughing/Dry Heaving?

So I have a juvenile female ball python named Bartók. Last night, she woke me up twice making this awful noise. She made a few of these short raspy hisses, then ended with a really long one that had an almost gurgling sound to it. She did this twice with about 45 minutes in between. She hasn't eaten in over a week, but she just shed a day ago. I keep her in a Tupperware breeder with newspaper substrate and a heating pad underneath. There were some log poops scattered around her enclosure, and they were pretty wet with urine. But I picked her up this morning, and she seems fine. Her nose is clear and her breathing is silent, and she's slithering around as usual. Does anyone know what was going on?

Did you observe her when she was making the noise or just hear it?

Because sometimes when they're having a bowel movement it can be rather... noisy...

    Re: Coughing/Dry Heaving?

I didn't the first time, but I checked her out after she did it the second time. I was half asleep (4 AM), and I believe the setting looked basically the same as I found it this morning.
