My female is uhh.. Exposing herself?

So I have a female pastel that is 3 1/2 feet long and a almost 1400 grams and she is well uhh exposing herself I guess you could say. Is this something to worry about or does that mean she'sin heat or ovulating?

Can we get a pic? Might be a prolapse, which could be a vet visit and need some immediate action.

Not handling after feeding is only a guidline. A possible prolapse takes priority and should be dealt with sooner rather than later.

Re: My female is uhh.. Exposing herself?

It doesn't stay out or come out like outrageously far or anything, it only comes out for a brief second then goes back in and stays in for a while. She's certainly very close to being ready to breed an her tank is right next to a 3ft male lesser.

Re: My female is uhh.. Exposing herself?

Are you absolutely positive she is a she? If so, I don't think anything should be poking out. Hemipenes can come out of a cloaca, but I've never heard of a vagina coming out of the cloaca unless it's a prolapse.

Females in breeding readiness will raise their tails and express some musk. I keep my snakes on unprinted newspaper and one of the ways that I know breeding took place is to observe the 'tracks' on the paper the next day after introducing a male.

Yeah I caught her doing it again today and put her down in the tank and tried to get a picture for a few minutes and she started wagging he tail like a dog and continued doing it, she's been doing it on and off all day and I did some research and she laying down musk apparently? I have a male I can put with her but I thought 1400g was the minimum before they should be breed.
