Handling question

So my bf and I just got our first snake, a young male cinnamon BP, and the only question we have that haven't been able to find anew answer to is when handling how do you know if the temperature is ok for him. We know to wait to handle until after 2 successful meals and that you want to keep his enclosure 75-80 ish on cool and 80-95 ish on hot sides, but what about the temperature while handling? Is your body heat enough when handling?

Any other tips are much appreciated!

As long as you aren't practically shivering, or in an Incredivly cold room, you should be fine, as the body's natural temperature is pretty high. My room is up in the attic, so if I have the option, I'll head down into the livingroom when I handle my BP. Hope I helped.

Ok, we just weren't sure about that and don't wanna accidentally harm him. We have a mini zoo going on and like to give our babies the best care we can lol

After a few days to a week of seclusion to adjust to his new enclosure as well as his first feed (and after given a day or so to digest) he should be fine for handling. Regular handling reinforces trust between your snake and you, and leads to a less nervous snake. Enjoy your new baby!

Your temps have a bit of a range. Personally my targets are 80 cool, 92 hot. 75 is the lowest acceptable temp for cool side, and personally I would think that 88 is the lowest your hot side temp should be.
