I decided to make a revision to my pastels setup. She had just the two black hides and the water bowl. But she has been on a hunger strike for the last 7 weeks. It could be due to a couple of things, she both hit about 1000gr and I swapped out one of her hides. She had a large plastic dog bowl for her water and since it had a lip, it also provided a hide. But she was getting large enough she would push the water bowl off the ground making it a bit more difficult to control te humidity. So i cut the lip off and flipped it over for a hide. And gave her a new bowl. I feel like she might like some tighter hiding places since she won't use the insides of the hides, but will wedge herself between the top of the hide and the lid. So back with some smaller hides of old coffee cans, and I put one in the larger black hide to shrink it up a bit. Hopefully this will help with her feeding, or at very least her temperament. she is the most skittish snake I've seen and thinks that everything want to eat her. She won't explore but wants to run and hide from everything, even herself if she unintentionally bumps herself. I just put her back in her tub and she's already exploring everything, so may be a good sign.
