    Escape proof?

Do you think a 6qt latch box from sterillite is enough to hold down a small 2016 hatchling born 2 months ago?

You might as well put a big book on top of it for extra security! You just never know sometimes... They can force push themselves through unexpectedly narrow gaps.

Yeah, don't wanna take my chances. I can't find any big books in my home, do binder clips work?

They'll work for a hatchling! They stop working when they get bigger and stronger...

I was using giant binder clips for my dumeril's boa for months, when she was smaller. And then one day, she just wasn't in the enclosure and the binder clips were popped off, though the latches on the sterilite were still latched... LOL. I found her later in the bathroom.

I sometimes put a belt or cam strap around tubs.
