Feeder question
I just made my first order with big cheese but I weighed my killer bee before I did to make sure I ordered right size for her, my other 2 snakes were obvious and Garrick told me size for toffino enchi I'll have in about 2 weeks. Anyways my killer bee weighed in at 336 but she did just eat a 20g large mouse on Thursday. I knew they were a small for her size but I didn't think that small, she sure is growing fast. She shed yesterday and I only found urates, no poo and I checked today to make sure. I ordered weanling rats that are 35-49 grams. Are these a good size or should I of went with the 20-34 gram pups? I've never seen a pup or wealing in person since there not sold locally (reason I've been feeding large mice) but would her full weight be that much less then her empty weight to of ordered the pups? I'm probably just over thinking this and it's probably to late now since I already submitted order but I'm hoping that weanling rats were the better choice.

Re: Feeder question
You'll be fine with the weaned rats. Also, yes, you're over thinking it.
What you can do to make yourself feel better is sort the rats by weight once they arrive. Then, just feed them off to her smallest to largest.

Lol yeah I always over think everything, it's hard not to when you care about something.
I have another question....The rats should be here by Friday since I ordered before the cut off time but feeding day is today, should I feed her 2 of the 20g mice or just keep her with one? The rats should be here before the feeding after this one. Like I said in the original post she is 336g full and even at a little less then that do to poo weight she should have no problem eating 2 20g mice. She's always hungry so it sounds like a good idea but if it would be best just to feed one and then a weanling rat next feeding I will.

Do you have the mice already? If you don't I'd just wait until Friday and feed then. The snake going 10 days instead of 7 is nothing. Plus if she has only been on mice it might help her switch to rats to make sure she's plenty hungry, just so she has less of a reason to refuse.

I have 4 mice left. She is in on a 5 day feeding schedule. I'm completely confident in her taking a rat, she is a very aggressive eater which makes me wish I had longer tongs lol but I could be wrong. I also have a 53g rat that's a little small for my Ivory and super pastel and I thought about trying to feed it to her but I think it's pushing the limit a little.

Oh if you have the mice then I'd just feed those off first and just keep on that schedule. Double up on the mice for two feedings and then go to the rats. At 336g she can easily take the weaned rats or two of your mice. She could easily take the 53g rat but I just figure there's no point unless that was your last rat, it's still right about 15% of your snakes body weight.

Ok yeah I'll feed her 2 tonight. Honestly I'll probably try the rats next feeding even though I'll still have 2 mice left. If anything I can give them to someone else. Now I've never fed 2 rodents at once but have heard feed one right as soon as the other goes down, it doesn't have to be that close together does it? She usually drags it into her hide so I don't actually see when it goes down, usually 15-30 minutes later she is poking her head out looking for more so when she does that I'll be good to offer the next one right?

Re: Feeder question
Yeah - just offer her the second when she gives you a cue to do so.

Just like Eric Alan said, once she's totally done just feed another. I usually end up waiting 30 minutes when I do it, mostly because I've seen them take anywhere from 1 minute to 10 minutes to eat and I just get bored watching them, then I end up distracted and don't make it back as soon as I try to.
Feeding a rat first might be a good idea, just in case she's only interested in mice then you'll have some mice to scent the rat with.
