Substrate with the easiest fastest cleanup

I know there is alot of discussion on substrate already. This is directed toward someone with a bigger collection. I currently use newspaper. While is free and clean, it does mean i have to be on top of my maintenance. I've had instance of not being able to change out the wet paper and it turn into a disgusting wet mass that stuck to the tub and won't come off. Looking to expand my collection and I'm looking at the possiblity of using different subtrate. I want something that I can quickly spot clean without having to clean out the whole tub. I've look at many of the commonly use subtrate, like cypress mulch but it seems to get really messy and gets everywhere. Anybody with large collection and have experiment with different subtrate can give me any suggestions? This is for rack system btw so it should hold humidity relatively well?

Re: Substrate with the easiest fastest cleanup

I use care fresh small animal paper bedding. It spots clean very well and absorbs moisture from urine good so I just have to pick up the spot and a little around it and either add what I took out or spread bedding from other parts back in. My humidity is perfect is all my setups. I don't use white bc I heard it has bleach in it but idk how true that is. Some people say it molds but I have never experienced that even with my one set up that has a misting system. I haven't used it with a rack but the breeder I got my super pastel uses it in some of his racks and recommended it to me so that's why I use it.

I buy thick cut custom liners from a guy on here . Or I use paper towels . The liners are thick and absorb great . He will custom cut them to whatever size you need as well

Cypress mulch does get everywhere, but I'll take its humidity benefits and ease of spot cleaning. Takes me about 30 secs to sweep up the mess when I'm done going through tubs.

I'm more concern it getting in between rack space etc. I brought a used rack that previous held cypress mulch in the tubs. There was substrate literally everywhere. Took me forever to vacuum everything out from
the depth of the shelf etc.

I don't seem to get much cypress on the rack, I get it on floor from spot cleaning, changing water, and getting out an active snake though. I think the same would happen with any shredded substrate.
