What would YOU pair with him?
I have a young male banana pinstripe yellowbelly. He is my first ball python and I had no intention of breeding him when I purchased him, but dang! all of you breeders make it look so appealing! I still don't plan on breeding him, but I have been looking around at some females for my second snake just in case I change my mind in the future I've been leaning towards a pied, possibly a pastel pied. So just out of curiosity, my question is: if this little beauty was yours, what would you pair with him?

Re: What would YOU pair with him?
I'm a huge fan of pandoras which is what I am aiming for (butter banana). Also really like the looks of banana GHI. You should also not expect any banana females unless you specifically bought a female maker which I doubt cause they are more expensive. I also think pics are in order

The following genes mix the best with banana imo; mojave, cinnamon/black pastel, enchi, orange dream, clown and pied. Take your pick
Thinking about it though it really depends on what you want in the offspring. From the pinstripe in your male it makes me think you prefer the yellow so I'd maybe lean more towards like an OD enchi or maybe even just a pied girl if you weren't looking to spend too much.

Re: What would YOU pair with him?
As much as I would love a burm, I'm a 5 foot 100 pound female.. I'm strong, but not that strong
Plus I'm pretty sure a ball and burm won't mix, although I did see a ball and a woma mix called a "wall" or something like that.

These abominations do exist. Pictures are an easy Goggle search.

what!? I thought it was such a ludicrous statement, I didn't even bother to do a Google search. Plus it sounded a little too sarcastic to believe lol
My apologies, BFE Pets. I stand corrected, you really do learn something new everyday on here.

It's not a crime to actually make a profit breeding ball pythons, not sure why people always jump and say they are not in the hobby to make money. In my opinion you should be thinking about both your favorite combos and what will bring in some money to at least cover your time and feed costs or at least break even so you can really enjoy your hobby without breaking the bank. You could breed to a pied but your offspring will be all het pied, only a few possibilities with that, and you'll have to wait about five or six years to actually produce a pied if you decide to breed back the het pieds. Although the het pieds may increase the price of your babies.
Personally I'd probably get a three gene combo to breed with him. What is your budget? Here's one sub $400 with three additional genes that you don't have. That would give you six genes in your breeding program with some nice bright yellow colors and you could possibly get a five or six gene snake out of the deal:
PASTEL / FIRE / SPIDER FEMALE

Here's the cross possibilities, you could breed this pair for ten years and not get all the possible combos, it would be a nice long term project with just one pair of snakes:
