    Not eating

The girl I rescued about a week ago hasn't eaten in over a month and had lost almost 100 grams. Her husbandry is all correct but she won't eat anything. I finally tried assist feeding and she just spit it back up after getting all the way up until the ASFs tail. She was about 1780 grams when I got her now she's down to like 1700. What should I do?

Well given her size, try on a weekly basis. She has significant size, so she should be fine for a few months. Also, it seems like few if any would assist feed an adult as it is usually for baby BPs.

I would normally never try it but she lost so much weight so quickly and not knowing what she went through before coming into my possession. I wanted to make sure she had any chance to eat.

Where did you rescue her from? In mammals and fish, internal parasites can cause lack of appetite and rapid weight loss. She may need a fecal done by a vet to check (have to wait until Tuesday since it's a holiday weekend...and wait for a sample) I'm not 100% sure about how parasites work in snakes, but 80g in a week seems very fast to me. I also would not try force feeding yet, might just stress her more if she is not feeling well...maybe someone else will be more helpful.
