    Breeding from the same clutch

Is It safe? I want to breed caramel and albino pieds, will I have to buy 3 females for the 1 male I hold back from the clutch of albino x pied/caramel x pied? Or buy 1 pied and 3 caramels/albino females?

I think it would be easier to invest in two dh albino pied females plus get your male caramel to breed to those two. Then hold back the females from both of those clutches to breed back to your male caramel. You need to make sure your buying the dhs from someone reputable. The caramel will be easy to identify. Unless the male caramel is het for pied will increase your chances. Your mileage may vary in either case. Lol. Nice project btw.

Caramel is a tricky gene to work with as well when combined with albino. So you should really double check on whether you want to work with caramel. There is a egg viability issue and a kinking of the spine with CARAMEL AND ALBINO.

I am not sure about the caramel pied and if there are issues with that combination. Caramel albino is a mixed bag of poor egg viability and kinking of the spine. Albino pied is a great project and you may want to start with two dh females and one male dh to increase your chances of hitting the albino pied. It's a 1 in 16 chance per egg. So, the bigger the clutch or the more clutches will increase your chances . Unless the odds gods play in your favor then anything is possible, lol. Good luck.
