    AP Basking Shelf

Just a quick question, does anyone know if the AP basking shelf is removable?

Is it screwed in where it would leave holes in the enclosure? I've never seen one with one in it but ran across someone with a T8 that has one but I don't think its something I would use.

The brackets screw into the wall, the shelf sits on/in the brackets, but is not screwed to them.

I just got a T10 new in box from someone and there shipping it to me. Will be here in a couple days. Does it come with the brackets already on the wall or do you have to install them yourself? I'm trying to decide whether I want to use the shelf or not but if the brackets are already installed I might just use it. Idk though.

They are not preinstalled but there are recesses precut into the back board where you are supposed to attach them.

    Re: AP Basking Shelf

The pilot holes for the screws are also pre-drilled. If you don't install the brackets they'll just provide a smidge more ventilation, no big deal. If you decide you want the shelf, installation of the brackets is easy. Just remember to put the shelf in before you put the top on.
