If your BP hasn't messed his tub, do you still clean? I use unprinted newspaper.

Nope. I only clean when dirty. I do check every day to make sure that I catch any mess though, snake poo stinks and I hate to think of my poor snake having to breath the fumes.

    Re: when to clean tub

Thanks guys for the replies. I just moved him to a 25qt tub on 5/6/2016 from a 20L tank and he has ate once and shed last night but still no waste, so I was just wondering would you still clean.

I use aspen bedding and clean about once a month. If I open a tub and it stinks then I clean all the tubs in my whole rack system even if they are not that dirty. I've heard that if a ball python even sheds in a tub that the smell can reduce his feeding instinct. The cleaner your bedding and tub the more likely your snake will eat. I've heard some people even give their snake a bath, I've never done that before LOL.

    Re: when to clean tub

Yeah he shed last night but there was no mess. So wasn't really sure if I needed to clean. I guess if he doesn't eat tonight then I'll clean it. Thank you
