How do I take better BP pictures

This is kind of a meta post for this thread. I am definitely not a photographer and i see all these wonderful pictures of ball pythons and I was wondering if there are any tips for taking BP pictures? Are there different lighting or cameras that i should use?

This, and take maybe 100 pictures and 1-2 of them should be usable.

You could also look into making a light box.

I was thinking about that. Maybe a simple one with a piece of black felt in the bottom or something.

Practice. And take a ton of photos. Then practice some more, and a bit more.

I think another key is to get a good camera that lets you manually choose settings. Just choosing "auto" will result in mediocre pictures.

You can take great pictures even with a good cell phone but you will need

Good lights whether natural or not, so having a light tent and or a seed light if you use a camera will be essential.

Take more than a picture with animal photography you often have to take a few to only get to keep one.

Have a good neutral background that will compliment the snake in question (light background for dark snakes and dark background for light colored snakes.)
