So, trying to feed one of my rescues f/t, he wouldn't eat it, and the lady I rescued them from said he'd eat both live and f/t, as with the female, but not the younger male.
ANYWAYS, just to see if it was bad, or if he just didn't want to eat I dangled the thawed mouse in the younger snakes cage(since he was already active and easy to get to, etc. I also don't usually feed in the same enclosure I keep them in). He looked at it, and kept slithering up as I put my hand up a bit as he slithered up so I dont get bit lol. Next thing I know, before I knew it he struck it and ate it!
This is also my first time successfully feeding f/t, what makes me feel more accomplished is that he never ate f/t before(or while the lady had him at least).
I didn't get a picture of him eating, but here's what he looks like too!

Since I generally feed live, it's easier to watch both my snake and rat, plus it's recommended and I caged two BP's together for a while. Also makes use of one of the the extra cages I have.

Live, I just put in the tank and watch carefully. F/t with hands(have yet to be bitten during feeding, thankfully) and working on getting tongs

Just checking, it doesn't take much for a snake to miss and catch your hand instead.

Oh I know, my second one snake that was given f/t is like a scared-y cat and wouldn't strike if the foods in my hand, the one I got to eat f/t the first time kept slithering up as though he was going to strike my hand, and i've seen BP strike the hand that feeds rather than a feeder.

Who recommended you feed in a separate enclosure? You should read up on feeding in separate enclosures. There's a lot of opinions on both sides but IMO the pros out weigh cons for feeding in enclosure and cons out weigh pros when feeding in different enclosure. I could give you some reason why if you would like. Many others on here will tell you the same thing. I'm not telling you to change your method, if it works it works. I'm just saying read up on it and decide from the information you researched. Also I just use basic hot dog tongs for my f/t lol congrats on your first successful f/t!!!!
