Have you played around on world of ball pythons genetic calculator yet? I've spent hours on it lol Welcome to the forum though and since your new here is a care sheet for ball pythons, never hurts to recheck your setup!

    Hello!

Bumble bees contain the spider gene, which has a 100% chance for a neurological defect called wobble. I am by no means an expert (heck, I am very new to the community, too!), but I've seen keepers greatly discouraging people from breeding anything containing the spider gene (such as bumblebee), since the wobble in bad cases can be incredibly stressful to the poor animals, and we are not 100% sure whether it doesn't cause them any pain...

In my own humble opinion it isn't okay to breed an animal for looks over health, knowing that it will have a neurological defect, and I wouldn't recommend breeding her at all... But, that isn't my decision to make here! So I would maybe recommend you to do research on the wobble and decide for yourself whether you still want to breed her?

(@The people here with more knowledge about genetics, is there a possible morph whose genes are dominant over the spider gene and would create non-spider offspring?)

Here are some opinions on it, sadly there isn't much actual scientific research on morph defects... A lot of it seems to be hearsay, due to that lack of "official" research.

There are many many more threads/arguments about that on the webs, just have a look around!

You have to select multiple genes in order to get combinations…so if you highlight both pastel and spider you will have a bumblebee!

Also as far as breeding spiders is concerned, there are tons of threads on here with various opinions you can check out. I have a bunch of spider combos in my collection, only one has a wobble, and they are all thriving. I have no problem whatsoever with breeding spiders.

Don't let anyone discourage you from breeding your spider (bumblebee). Yes they all have wobble to some extent or another. Yes there are rare extreme cases that make the animal non viable. For the most part they thrive just like anyou other bp and many cases are so minor you would not notice it if you did not know what to look for.
In the end there is no proof that wobble is any worse for the snake than any other mutation. In fact every morph out there is simply a type of mutation and most come with a slim chance of some "defect". Many are worse than wobble.
There are a lot of opinions and emotions involved in this debate but the only facts are these.
    1) there is a slim chance you will produce an animal that will not survive (as with many other morphs)
    2) the vast majority of spiders you will produce will live and thrive just as any other snake.

Stick to the facts and decide for yourself what you are comfortable with.
