Crickets in BP cage

Well, I got a bearded dragon a few weeks ago. The only problem is that some of those pesky crickets, tend to get away from me. Occasionally I find one, in my BP cage, and I remove it immediately. But does it cause a health hazard for my bp? Would those rare occasions be enough to give my bp problems?

I would guess if its only for a short period of time that it wouldnt cause any health issues, but if for long periods than the same risks would be present that are there for every other crick eating herp.

Yeah, crickets can actually start chewing on your herp if they get hungry enough. I don't know how much damage a cricket could do to a scaled reptile; sounds far fetched, but they will even eat each other if they are starving enough so I would remove them as fast as possible.
I would guess that they might be able to pass mites frrom the pet store where you bought them, to your collection.
How do they get into the cage?

The crickets I get are very small. So small, that some are able to get through the screen top, of my BP's cage. That should give you an idea of how small of crickets I'm talking about. I'm not particulary worried about them chewing up my BP, since they are so tiny, and their jaws can't penetrate my skin, so I highly doubt that they can penetrate my BP's skin. We're talking really tiny ones, that occasionally get's in his cage. But I don't no if they can transfer any form of deseases, and that is my main concern. And as some of you stated, it could be a possibility, so I will fix this problem. Thanks for the help guys.

I wouldnt worrie about any disease or mite transfer to your snake, or atleast no more than I would with it to the beardie.

I think my biggest concern would be that they're stressing the snake. We all know that the littlest thing can stress 'em, even if it is just you standing 500 feet away and exhaling.

That's kinda what I was thinking as well.
